Meal Plan 20/11/17

I had an email from Simply Cook asking whether I wanted to get a box again for £3 so I, of course, reactivated my account and received the 4 spices and recipe cards for this week. Also, I managed to pick up 2 of the Kellogs Advent Calendars at £4 each for both my girls as I thought this would be a fun way to start the day in the lead up to Christmas.

A Meaningful Gift Guide (Etsy)

It is always hard every year at Christmas to find the right gift for family and friends. While an expensive pair of shoes, a leather satchel, aftershave, the latest gadget are all great presents, I often find that it is the DIY projects like a hamper of someone's favourite things or a family picture that has been framed turn out to be the best. Have you not heard that saying 'its the thought that counts'.

You might think that it takes a lot of work and creativity to be able to do something like that which is why Etsy takes over the hard part. With so many sellers on the website, you should be able to find something that is handcrafted and has that personal touch for a range of interests and on different budgets.

Below I have listed some of my favourite items over on Etsy that will create meaningful gifts.

Christmas time can be extremely hard for people who have lost someone, especially in my family where my Grandad passed away a couple of weeks before Christmas Day. Having a personalised white feather in a bauble will mean a lot to so many people. As it reads on the ribbon "Feathers appear when angels are near".

Make £1000 Before Christmas Challenge (Week 4)

I have not really done a lot this week because the whole family has come down with a virus so I have been looking after everyone. I have some items still to list on eBay that should sell for a nice sum of money so I am hoping I can get that up and sold before the next week is up. I did manage to make another £10 on Global Test Market which is fantastic.

Meal Plan 13/11/17

This week I managed to treat ourselves to the meal deal they were doing at Tesco just before it ended, where you got a main, side dish, dessert and drink for £10. Both our girls have been ill and off food so we need to keep things simple and reduce the amount I will be cooking. I am hoping a Roast Dinner later in the week will tempt the girls to eat something.

Meal Plan:

Pulled Gammon with Pineapple and Dauphinoise Potatoes

Veggie Gnocchi Ragu

Quiche and Salad

Spaghetti Bolognese

Baked Potato with Cheese, Beans and Coleslaw

Roast Chicken Dinner

Leftover Chicken and Pesto Pasta
