Bargains & Deals UK

I wanted to introduce to you a Facebook Page that I have created called Bargains & Deals UK. As someone who enjoys getting a good bargain or a freebie, especially as we are living on one income, I thought I would share what I find online or instore with anyone else who may be interested.

Swiss Gardens Shuttleworth

The other week I took the girls to Swiss Gardens as it was taking part in the Heritage Open Days, which meant it was Free to get in. (Usually £8 per adult, children under 16 Free). The 9-acre gardens are adjacent to the Shuttleworth Collection in Old Warden, near Biggleswade and were created by Lord Ongley in the 1820's.


Before visiting I had looked up about the place, but nothing prepared me for how romantic and picturesque it actually was. I could not put my camera down because it seemed at every turn there was a new artefact, building or bridge that just looked like it had been done to perfection.

Spaghetti Bolognese (#HealthyRedMeat)


When it comes to meal times and eating healthy, I really try and make sure the recipes I do are of nutritious value. #HealthyRedMeat is considered to be a great food type to put in meals, especially for children because it contains Iron, Zinc and B Vitamins, Selenium and Potassium, which are the nutrients that are often lacking in a child's diet.

When I first started putting Mabel and Martha onto proper food, this Spaghetti Bolognese recipe is what I used and it went down tremendously. Since then it has been a household favourite, which is great because it is cheap, easy and extremely versatile, plus by using red meat the girls are getting lots of nutrients from the meat and even more from the vegetables.

It's Time To Lose Some Weight

You may remember I wrote a post back in March about how I am happy with my body after having children. I am still very much comfortable but I have noticed that some of my clothes have become a bit snug. Well, I say a bit, but when I had to put a pair of jeans on because they were the only thing I had left to wear after going away, I honestly thought they were going to rip. I had the largest muffin top I have ever seen that seemed to suck in the button of the jeans and my bum just seemed to want to squeeze itself out the back. I lasted about an hour in those before it just got too uncomfortable and I spent the rest of the day in my pyjamas.

 Not only were my clothes very tight, but I have tried to do some exercise and I thought I was going to pass out. I have even been told that I may be unfit. Shock horror that was because I thought I was quite a fit person. Well, I am kicking myself up the bottom to get off the couch and to pay a bit more attention to what I am eating.
