DIY - Our Mix Match Garden Furniture.

We have been living in our house for 2 1/2 years and only now have we managed to get the garden done. The past 5 months we have had our garden re-done by professionals due to it being uneven and there being lots of tree roots in the ground. Very dangerous for a little one. Now that has all be completed and a patio laid down we needed some furniture to go on it.

What do you do when you have run out of money? Oh yeah, DIY.

When we moved into our house there was a door in the shed. Rather than throw it away my husband came up with the genius idea of making a garden table out of it. So that is what we have done. The door has been painted blue (we used outdoor paint that we had bought years ago but never used) and we bought 2 grey trestle legs from IKEA at £5 each for it to rest on. Now we have a garden table.

The previous owners also left us with a metal chair and bench which we have used as seating, as well as getting 3 different coloured (light brown, red and black) fold up chairs from IKEA at £11 each. Now we have enough seats for 6 people.

Garden Furniture

In total we spent £43 on our garden furniture and as you can see it is a mix match of things, but you know what.

I LOVE IT.
