We woke up in the farmhouse for the last time and went down for breakfast where Mabel went whizzing around the kitchen.
It was then time to get dressed, pack up and say goodbye to Granny and Grumps before hitting the road.
It was a 5 hour drive home including a short stop at a service station so Mabel could get out of her car seat and have a feed. When we arrived home it was a mad dash to get all the piles of washing sorted, put everything back where it was meant to be and then back in the car to go food shopping. On the way back we briefly popped into nanny’s house so she could have a quick cuddle and then it was back home again.
I had some mail to open and was intrigued by a brown envelope. When I opened it I saw 2 tickets to the Ideal Home Show. I had entered a competition the other week to win a pair of tickets and here was a letter explaining that I had won.
What a great way to end a holiday.
