Beauty boxes seem to be all the rage at the moment, and being new to it all I thought it was about time I gave it a go, starting with Birchbox at £12.95 per month.
The birth of the second royal baby is upon us any day now and Birchbox have come up with a simple idea of a blue and a pink ‘Royally Good’ beauty box. You won’t know what one you will get until it is through the door. I was extremely happy to receive the pink box because I thought I could use the box to store some of my daughter’s bits and bobs or keepsakes in.
So what did I receive in my box I hear you say, well:
Lola Barcelona Nail Polish
RRP 8ml £7.50
I received a full-sized Lola Barcelona Nail Polish in Born, which is a nude colour. Now I am not really one for nail polish, (mainly because I am one of those people who bites their nails), but I feel this would be a great colour for my toes to give it a fresh look, especially in the summer months.
Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Supreme Mascara
This month you were able to pick between 3 Laura Mercier products (Foundation Primer, Mascara or Eye Pencil), but when I was choosing I could only pick between 2. I think mascara has to probably be my favourite item of make-up. I never seemed to get on with false eyelashes which really makes your eyes pop, so I use a volume mascara instead. I am really hoping I won’t be let down with this one.
Percy & Reed Smoothed, Sealed & Sensational Volumising No Oil Oil
RRP 60ml £14
This oil is said to nourish and repair hair in order to make it smooth, sleek and add volume. It is something that I will be making note of if it works because my hair is dyed and I have a real problem with flyaway bits. I do love how simple it is to use by way of putting a few drops on your hands and then running them through towel-dried hair from the root to the tip, before drying and/or styling.
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
RRP 100ml £14
This is the product I was hoping and wishing I was going to receive. It removes makeup and daily grime from your face to leave it smooth, clean and refreshed. I absolutely love my No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser and hearing so many great reviews about the Liz Earle one I really can’t wait to try it.
Pommade Divine Natures Remedy Balm
RRP 50ml £19.80
What an absolute little gem to receive in my box. It is used on dry skin and lips to repair and nourish those troubled areas. Having dry skin on my hands I can easily pop this into my handbag to use on the go when I need to hydrate them.
Befine Warming Clay Mask
RRP 140ml £17
I have not used a face mask in a very long time, (probably the last time was a good 10 or so years ago, yikes!) and so I will be looking forward to having a nice relaxing bath where I can use it.
Overall I am really happy with the box and can’t wait to try absolutely everything in it. Did you get Birchbox and was yours a ‘Royally Good’ pink or blue?
*I purchased this Birchbox April ‘Royally Good’ box for myself. All opinions are my own.*
