Free Family Fun With Heritage Open Days

Today is the start of the Heritage Open Days and it runs all weekend (7th – 10th September). Places all over the country will be opening its doors to welcome you into a celebration of their history and heritage.

The great thing is that it is FREE.
Usually, these places are either closed to the public or charge an admission fee, so what better way to get the children trying new experiences and having a family day out by heading to one of these fabulous places.

If you go the Heritage Open Days website you will be able to see what places are open near you and what days. I managed to find quite a few near me which include Queen Annes Summerhouse, Jordans Mill, Shuttleworth House and Swiss Gardens and a little bit further away Stowe, which is a place I have wanted to visit for a while.

This year there are even more events scheduled so you should be able to find something the whole family will enjoy. So go on check out the website and explore some of the hidden treasures that may be on your doorstep.
