Weekly Meal Plan 09/04/18

This week we are going to be trying to eat as much of the contents of our freezer as possible because we need to defrost it. By doing this it allows us to bring our cost of the weekly shop down, although I did manage to pick up some half price items to pop away for another week.

Meal Plan

Spaghetti Bolognese

Quiche and Salad

Egg Fried Rice with Duck Spring Rolls

Steak Pie with Vegetables

Turkey Mince Burritos

Chicken with Chorizo Sauce and New Potatoes

Ratatouille with Pasta and Garlic Bread

Since my husband died last month, we’re having to shop without a car and for us, that means the local shops are Lidl and Aldi. I’ve been really impressed with both the choice and the prices. I’m clearing out the freezer too so I love the sound of all your meal ideas 🙂

I am so sorry to hear that. 🙁
I have found at Aldi that when you go in the morning they usually have lots of items marked down to half price because they go out of date that day. I picked up lots of bits today.

Ahh! I wish I could get my shopping bill down so low…..
You have some fab meals planned this week…

I was shocked. I intially thought the woman said £56 but on the card machine it read £36. The problem I have is that Aldi is a bit of a drive away for me but in a matter of weeks a new store will open up which will be the closest supermarket to me. I can’t wait. 🙂 x

You are a budgeting hero! Wow I wish ours was so low. Got to love a good steak pie within the meal plan! This weeks blog hop is now live. Thank you for supporting and sharing with #MealPlanningMonday x

Especially when the Steak Pie was at Half Price so I think it ended up being £1. 🙂 x
