Weekly Meal Plan 28/05/18

Last week we spent a lot on some extra groceries through the week which was not great seeing as we have a major expense coming up. I hopefully will have bought enough this week so that I don’t have to do an extra top up shop because we need to save every single penny. I did however find a couple of reduced meals which I have put in the freezer for next week.

Meal Plan

Veggie Ragu with Gnocchi

Chilli Con Carne with Bulgur Wheat

Pie with Vegetables

Baked Potato with leftover Chilli

 Battered Fish with Sweet Potato Mash (The girls will have Chicken)

Beef and Vegetable Stir Fry

Butternut Squash and Penne Pie

    I had to do a top up shop this week too – I think it’s the heat, as I’ve been buying extra drinks and fruit mainly. You’ve just reminded me I have some gnocchi in the fridge ! 🙂

      In our house, the fruit goes very quickly but so does the milk and bread. Gnocchi can be a great quick meal with a homemade tomato sauce. The girls love it. 🙂 x

    Good luck with not having to do a top up shop. My two are off school this week so I know I’m going to have to. Ugh!

      I know half term really adds to the pressure of things. I picked up more fruit in order to hopefully cover those additional snacking times, which is where you just need 5 minutes so you give them an apple which does the job. haha. 🙂 x
