The sun has made a couple of appearances here in Bedfordshire and with that, I thought it was about time to book a family holiday.
We have not taken Mabel and Martha abroad yet, so as Mabel starts school in September, now seemed the perfect time to do it. Also at the age of 4 and 3, I think the girls will really enjoy all these new experiences, along with us enjoying the excitement of it all.
We only have a couple of months before we head off and there are quite a few bits to get sorted, such as buying suitcases, entertainment for the children, new clothes and shoes, and getting a beach body. Well, the last one might not happen, but I will finally be able to wear the new bikini I bought in the Next sale.
I just can’t tell you how much the girls are looking forward to this well deserved holiday. They just cannot wait to be on the beach, building sandcastles and eating ice cream with a cone. The extra added touch to the holiday is that nanny will be joining us so we have 3 adults to 2 children, which should make it easier, right?
Anyway, I am off to do lots of research on what I need to take.
Any tips would be appreciated?
Anyone else heading off on their first family holiday abroad?
